After growing out many varieties of softneck garlic, Polish is the one that won out. Many softnecks varieties have rings of cloves that get smaller as you move deeper into the head. This is not the case with Polish. The cloves are larger, more uniform in size. It is a hot garlic that remains that way even after roasting. It is a vigorous grower that wastes no time in the spring. Very hardy with impressive, large, purple stained bulbs with bulb wrappers that sometimes have a purple/blue "bruised" color. Matures at the same time as most hardnecks and is great for braiding.
